Carter's who had the highest so far in history?
What happened to disparaging the use of fear mongering?|||GAO said this when and where? 1938?
Here is what GAO was saying as of February 5, 2009, regarding the TARP plan:
"we recommended that Treasury continue to take action to further improve the transparency and accountability of the program and more clearly articulate and communicate a strategic vision."
Does that sound like a stance against government action on the economy?|||Could you link to the GAO press release stating that?
Thanks!|||"Do as I say not as I do" apparently applies. After all, "I won" said O'bummer the fear monger.|||Because Obama is a Socialistic, kinda reminds me of Stalin. Obama talking about his 5 year plan, and industrialization and economic collectivization. But with Stalin millions of ethnic minorities were deported, is that what's going to happen to me?|||Please tell me you didn't fall for that line.
If we start seeing double-digit interest rates, then not even the English-language versions of Pravda (NY Times, Washington Post, et al) will be able to save him. We already have the double-digit unemployment, or close enough.
This isn't related, but I wonder how many people were listening in 2000 when the 42nd president was bragging about his PROJECTED budget "surpluses" which were based on the assumption that taxes would stay at their extortionate levels and that there would be no increases in government spending. Except for the scale, that's like fantasizing about what you'd do if you hit big in a lottery.
